For a while now Charles knew that his mission was to keep Edwin safe. Hell, the moment he told him he would stick with him, he knew. But there was something about them being alive during all that. Suddenly, there were a whole lot of other issues coming with both of them being dead. Suddenly they had bodies, and they could get noticed by people. Charles was still confident in his ability to protect Edwin, but he knew if anyone decided to pick on them that day he wouldn't be able to hold back.

Thankfully they could get back to the office without being noticed. He held Edwin's hand during the walk and helped him up the stairs, and made sure he was fine as he helped him onto the sofa. And then Charles just stood there, feeling a little helpless.

"Where does it hurt?" he asked quietly.
