Moving was slightly easier than it had been the night before, but even he could see the bruises blooming along his arm where he'd landed, and knew there were more from where he'd popped his shoulder back into place, and likely more still across his back.

"There's the cafe down the street that Crystal likes, but I don't really think we should go walking in there looking like this.
