He managed a nod, though words were still caught somewhere in the back of his throat, breathing still shaky and shallow, gulping down air like he'd just been saved from drowning, catching half blindly at Charles' arm and shoulder just pulling him close, burying his face in the crook of Charles' neck, dimly realizing that tears were spilling out of him and he wasn't even sure why, since that had been amazing in a way he didn't even have words for.

The only real clear thought in his mind was that Charles had been right, this was an entirely different experience alive than it was in their usual state, and once he had a few minutes to settle he'd realize the overflow of emotions was most likely due to the endorphin rush, as that wasn't the kind of thing he was used to at all, but right at the moment all he could do was cling to Charles like a lifeline and try to rein himself in.
