"I'm sure you did," he agreed with a nod, gently steering Charles towards the sinks, "and I'm sure you'd have a grand time, but, we've a full day ahead of us tomorrow, and we do actually need sleep to be able to do things." An innocuous enough statement if anyone happened to overhear it, it would just seem like a reminder to get some rest, even if it was oddly-phrased.

He trusted that even in his current inebriated state, Charles would still understand that he meant it as 'while they were human'.
