Charles truly thought he was still dreaming as he watched Edwin kiss his fingers. He was laying so close and so alive, with his hair tousled, his eyes sleepy. He was warm and living and Charles could not love him more even if he wanted.

He barely listened to Edwin's words, or paid attention to anything else really as he gently pet his hair adoringly.

"Hmm?" Charles asked when he realized there was a question. "Yeah, I... think my head's gonna crack open soon," he laughed in suffering. He moved closer attempting to trap Edwin with him. Even if a shower sounded heavenly right now, there were still more important things to do: namely to cuddle Edwin properly.

"Yeah, just a tick..." Charles murmured.
